Alsace, Burgundy and Champagne-Ardenne have culminated some of their favorite recipes of French delicacies, and provided them below for you to experience European gastronomy. Try a recipe tonight and test your culinary chops.

Poulet Gaston Gérard
Chicken cooked the Gaston Gérard way
(Gaston Gérard was Secretary of State for Tourism after the Second World War)

1 chicken
50g butter / oil
salt, pepper, paprika
150 g grated cheese ( Cheddar type)
¼ l dry white wine
1 teaspoon mustard
cream
breadcrumbs

Serves 6 people
Brown off the chicken pieces in the oil and butter in a big dish.
Add salt, pepper and paprika.
As soon as they are cooked put on one saide.
Skim the fat out of the dish. Add the cheese and allow to melt. Then add white wine, cream and mustard.
Top off the chicken pieces with the sauce, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and some grated cheese.
Put under grill.
